Early Life

Early Life of Victoria Woodhull:

Victoria Woodhull was born in Homer, Ohio in the year 1838. As a young girl, she was abused by her father. Because of her father's abusive manner, he "made her a woman before her time." Nobody she was related to and who she was friendly with were protective. Her knowledge of oppression was from first-hand experience. Her and her sister performed spiritualistic acts and did fortune telling as a way of entertainment, money, and escaping her family troubles. She preferred contacting the dead and reading the future and other people's fortune rather than experiencing the real world.
